Volunteer in Australia is designed for eco-travelers wanting a taste of Australian life by volunteering on an Australian farm under the WWOOF scheme (Willing Workers on Organic Farms). By simply volunteering for 4-5 hours per day, you receive full board and meals on an Australian farm that practices organic, bio-dynamic or permaculture farming methods.
To kick start you experience we will arrange your transfer from the airport to your accommodation and then arrange your first Aussie eco-experience to the world's second oldest national park. This one day tour allows you to experience the diversity and uniqueness of Australia’s flora and fauna and learn more about Australia’s indigenous peoples.
Once back in Sydney we will meet with you to start planning your volunteer experience. The great advantage of Volunteer in Australia is flexibility; you choose when and where you want to go* and then leave it with us to arrange the rest. After we set up your first project we then encourage you to participate on further projects using same system. Many travelers do more than one project to experience the different parts of Australia and Australian life. *subject to availability.
While we prepare your project you are free to explore Sydney using the free day tripper ticket and harbour cruise that is included as part of your program. Once you commence your project we are just a short call away including our 24/7 emergency support number.
If you want to travel after your project you have access to the full range of AIFS services including mail keeping, our travel desk and internet access at over a dozen locations around Australia.
With over 1500 properties to choose from, Volunteer in Australia is guaranteed to give you a unique insight into Australian life.
